Flying knives are working parts in high-speed cutting systems. Unlike static blades, they must cut cleanly while moving at speed, so balance, flatness, hole tolerance and edge consistency become very important. LIJIAN manufactures flying knives for packaging, film, paper, food and converting machinery.
Our practical view is that a flying knife should not be selected by size alone. The blade has to match the rotary holder, line speed, material thickness and counter knife condition. If the blade is too heavy, poorly balanced or ground with the wrong bevel, the machine may show vibration, noise, poor cut quality or faster bearing wear.
LIJIAN can supply flying knives in selected tool steels and stainless steels, with straight, angled, serrated or custom profiles. Heat treatment, flatness control and grinding quality are adjusted according to the operating speed and cutting material.
Please provide the drawing or sample blade, rotation direction, mounting hole layout, blade thickness, line speed if known and the material being cut. If the current blade creates vibration or uneven cuts, share that information before production. It helps us check balance and edge geometry more carefully.
